La autora reflexiona sobre la Agenda Complementaria que ha establecido Nicaragua para el éxito del tratado CAFTA-DR. Analiza, en primer lugar los temas de esta Agenda Complementaria, a saber, Fomentar la Capacidad, Productividad y Competitividad, Incrementar la productividad, Establecer un entorno favorable y Fomentar y promover la capacidad exportadora de las empresas PYMES. Algunas de las leyes que se han establecido en relación a estos temas son: relación a estos temas son La ley de competencia, La ley PYMES, La ley de Sociedad de Garantías Recíprocas, La ley de aguas, Una reforma a la Ley de Zonas Francas y Ley general de medio ambiente, entre otras.

The author writes about the Complementary Agenda that Nicaragua has established so that CAFTA DR. may be successful in this country. She starts analysing the themes of this Agenda, such as the promotion of the capacity of productivity and competitiveness; to increase the productivity, to establish a favourable environment, the promotion of Pymes� exports. Some of the laws established in relationship to these themes are : the Law of Competitiveness, the Pymes Law, the Law of Society of reciprocal guarantees, the Law of water, a reform to the Law of �francas� zones and the General Law of environment, among others.
