    El estudio fue desarrollado en las tres sedes de Politécnico Colombiano Jaime Isaza Cadavid (PCJIC) de forma transversal, y cuya intencionalidad fue conocer las diferentes causas, factores o manifestaciones de violencia, que se presentan en esta comunidad académica y administrativa al interior de la institución, en las sedes de Apartadó, Rionegro y Medellín, a fin de construir estrategias preventivas y mitigar la problemática social que afecta significativamente sus procesos educativos y de convivencia.

    Para establecer los diferentes tipos de violencia que se presentan en esta comunidad universitaria se aplicaron 381 encuestas anónimas realizadas de un total de 15.351 personas, incluyendo todos los roles a su interior tales como estudiantes, docentes vinculados y de cátedra, administrativos, que tuvieron en cuenta no sólo los datos demográficos sino el rol que los entrevistados tienen al interior de determinada sede de esta comunidad universitaria, sus apreciaciones sobre violencia, motivos para uso de violencia, prácticas violentas al interior del PCJIC, la forma y manera como la recibe o aplica el entrevistado; igualmente se tuvieron en cuenta los lugares en que se desarrollan estas prácticas. Además se recabó información adicional de profesionales de diversos campos como el religioso, psicosocial, socioeducativo. Se hizo un análisis minucioso de los avances obtenidos hasta el momento en este tema y pudo comprobarse no sólo su poco tratamiento sino la manera como se le ha dado poca importancia a la presencia de poderes que generan violencia en la universidad.

    The study was conducted in three sites of the Politécnico Colombiano Jaime Isaza Cadavid (PCJIC) in a cross way, and whose intent was to know the different causes, factors and manifestations of violence that are occured in this academic and administrative community within the institution headquarters of Apartado, Rionegro y Medellín, in order to build preventive strategies and mitigating the social problems that significantly affects its educational processes and social interaction.

    To establish the different types of violence that are presented in this university community ,381 conducted anonymous surveys were applied of a total of 15.351 people, including all its internal roles such as students, fulltime teachers and half-time teachers, and administrative staff that took into account not only demographical data, but the role that respondents have within the determined headquarter of this university community, its assessments about violence, reasons for use of violence, violent practices within the PCJIC, the way and manner as the interviewee receives or applies it ; also, the places, in which these practices are presented, were taken into account. Besides, further information from professionals from various fields such as religious, psychological, socio-educational was gathered. A detailed analysis of the gotten advances was done so far this moment on this topic and it could be proven not only his little treatment but the way how it has given little importance to the presence of powers that generate violence in the university.
