    La formación humanística ha sido de vital importancia en todas las culturas y épocas de la humanidad, no obstante, pareciera que en la época contemporánea el estudio de las humanidades ha caído en un desplazamiento, suplantación y olvido injustos. De tal modo, y partiendo de las preguntas ¿por qué es importante hablar de formación humanística en nuestros días? y ¿qué características ha de tener la formación humanística para nuestro tiempo? se propondrá un humanismo acorde a las necesidades de las personas y sociedades de hoy en día, que rechace todo tipo de reduccionismo ante lo humano y que reconozca la formación humanística como el método más propicio para la perfección de las potencias y facultades inherentes a la persona humana, cuyo valor en sí misma, dignidad y libertad han de sustentar cualquier acto formativo.

    The humanistic formation has been of vital importance in all cultures and times of the mankind, however, it seems that at the contemporary time the study of the humanities has fallen in an unjust displacement, supplanting and forgotten. Of such way, and coming from the questions: why is important to speak of humanistic formation our times? And what kind of Characteristics should have the humanistic formation in this time? agreed humanism to the needs of the people and societies of nowadays, it will be set out an humanism that protests against all kind of reductionism before the human and that it recognizes the humanistic formation as the most accurate method for the perfection of the powers and inherent skills to the human person, such value in itself, dignity and freedom have to sustain any formative act.
