    La Figuración Narrativa nace en Francia en 1964. Gassiot-Talabot, fundador del movimiento, define el concepto de narración y sus técnicas. Tres artistas latinoamericanos, Antonio Berni, Antonio Seguí y Herman Braun Vega, formaron parte del movimiento. El presente artículo busca responder a los siguientes interrogantes: ¿Cuáles fueron sus contribuciones? ¿Cuáles las similitudes y diferencias con sus pares europeos? ¿Podemos hablar de una filial latinoamericana de la Figuración Narrativa? ¿Cuál es la situación actual del movimiento?

    Often ignored outside Europe, Narrative Figuration was born in France in 1964. Gassiot Talabot, founder of this politicized movement, defined the concept of narration and developped its techniques. Three latinoamerican artists, Antonio Berni, Antonio Seguí and Herman Braun Vega, took part in the movement. This study tries to answer the following interrogations: What were their contributions? What are the similarities and the differences between european artists and latinoamerican artists? Could we speak about the existance of a Latin american school of Narrative Figuration? What is the actuality of the movement?
