Resumen de Le récit d�avant-garde espagnol: les avatars d�une tentative de renouvellement sur les marges du roman

El presente artículo se centra en el estudio de la novela de vanguardia (1926-1934) que se plasmó en España como reacción virulenta al realismo decimonónico. Se evidencia aquí cómo pretendió renovar la percepción del mundo a la par que regenerar el género novelístico encauzándolo por nuevos derroteros y aventurándose en sus márgenes inexplorados. La novela vanguardista, que se pensó como una aventura literaria por vericuetos improbables y una exploración de intervalos desatendidos, pretendió destituir la centralidad de la visión realista (para averiguar las fronteras de lo visible), de la novela nacional (para incorporarla a las corrientes literarias europeas), y de la forma novelística usual (para asentarse en sus intervalos genéricos).
Sin embargo, esta novela no consiguió lo deseado y el proyecto renovador acabó convirtiéndose en una empresa marginal abocada al fracaso y a una ineludible desaparición.

This article deals with the Spanish vanguard novel (1926-1934) which prevails upon nineteenth century realism in the form of a violent reaction. We show here how this novel claimed to renew the literary perception of the world and to restructure the novelistic genre through the engagement in new routes and through investment of its unexplored margins. In thinking of itself as an aesthetic adventure in search of neglected areas and spaces left available, it sought to repudiate the centrality of the realist vision (in order to approach the boundaries of the visible), of the national novel (to associate it to the European standards) and of the novelistic form in use (to establish itself in its generic margins). However, for this novel, such a project of modernisation turned out to be a marginal and poorly understood undertaking, doomed to failure and an inevitable disappearance.
