  Este artículo presenta la fundamentación, origen y componentes centrales ejemplificados, de MODELA, un curso en la red sobre moderación en ambientes virtuales de aprendizaje. En él se refleja el impacto personal e institucional y las lecciones aprendidas sobre el proceso de participación. El curso fue ofrecido por Metacursos con soporte técnico y logístico de Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira a docentes de instituciones de educación superior colombianas que fueron becados por el Ministerio de Educación Nacional de Colombia para tomar parte en el mismo. Este trabajo ilustra cómo es posible lograr muy altos niveles de aprovechamiento entre quienes toman parte activa en el proceso de educación en la red y deja a consideración elementos que hacen que el nivel de éxito se pueda ver afectado por factores exógenos al proceso de instrucción.

  This paper presents the origins, foundations, and exemplified central components of a netcourse on online facilitation named MODELA. The essay reflects on personal and institutional impact, and lessons learned from the process. This netcourse was offered by Metacursos with technical and logistic support from Technologic University of Pereira, to faculty members and instructors from Colombian higher education institutions who accepted a tuition scholarship from the National Ministry of Education.
