  • In order to separate the corn, the flint threshing sledge has been used up to the present day in many regions of the Mediterranean basin especially in Turkey and Crete. As this article shows the worn surfaces seen on the present day tools are characteristics of this type of material. The detailed study of this by archeologists would allow a precise determination of the blades of tribulum and the history of this tool.
