Los registros clínicos de enfermería, forman parte esencial dentro de los expedientes de cualquier institución hospitalaria, de esta manera se registran las intervenciones que desarrolla enfermería en su labor asistencial, de acuerdo a las necesidades que presenta cada paciente, por ello, es necesario contar con un documento médico-legal que avale el rol autónomo de enfermería, que permita evaluar el desempeño, facilite la investigación clínica y docente para favorecer el desarrollo de la profesión, mediante la elaboración de protocolos de investigación.
Los formatos de registros clínicos, deben partir de la investigación disciplinar vinculando el método enfermero y la integración taxonómica, de la North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA), Nursing Outcome Classification (NOC) y Nursing Intervention Classification (NIC), para poder estandarizar el lenguaje y posteriormente el cuidado de enfermería.
En los formatos de registros de enfermería, deben quedar implícitas las necesidades expresadas por el paciente, que son el resultante de la respuesta humana y con base a estos registros, la enfermera podrá realizar una intervención consciente y basada en elementos metodológicos.

The clinical nursing records are an essential part in the clinical files at any medical institution, in this manner the intervention that the nurse develops in her assistance work according to the necessities of each patient is registered, therefore, professionals must have a medical and legal document to certify the nurse�s autonomous roll, that permits assessing the performance, allowing the clinical research and teaching, which brings up the profession�s development with the preparation of research protocols.
The formats of clinical nursing records. Should be based on nursing researches linking the nursing method and the Taxonomic Integration from the North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA), Nursing Outcome Classification (NOC) and Nursing Intervention Classification (NIC), in order to standardize the language and subsequently the nursing care.
In the formats of clinical nursing records must be implied the needs expressed by the patient, which are the result of human response, and based on these records, the nurse may make a conscious intervention based on methodological elements
