El estudio de las redes sociales busca hallar las estructuras subyacentes a los campos de conocimiento y sus mecanismos de producción y difusión. Presentamos un acercamiento a las redes de autoría presentes en los documentos publicados en los simposios de la SEIEM. Nuestro objetivo es identificar las redes de autoría y colaboración en este evento mediante un mapeo de los autores. Se identificaron a los autores y universidades con mayor grado de centralidad. Se verificó la poca densidad de esta red de coautores debido en gran medida a la presencia de autores periféricos o que son monofirmantes.

The study of social networks seeks to find underlying structures to fields of knowledge and their mechanisms of production and dissemination. This paper offers an approach to the authorship networks present in documents published at SEIEM symposia. The aim is to identify networks of authorship and collaboration at this event by mapping out the authors. The most central authors and universities are identified.
The network of joint authorship is revealed to be fairly sparse in nature, largely owing to the presence of peripheral authors or single authorship.
