Resumen de The independence and impartiality of arbitrators in international commercial arbitration from a theoretical and practical perspective

El objetivo de este artículo es analizar el papel que juegan los árbitros hoy día dentro del arbitraje comercial internacional y, más concretamente, establecer si los requisitos de imparcialidad e independencia que son obligatorios en cualquier actuación de un juez son aplicables de la misma manera a los árbitros, en especial a aquellos nombrados por las partes.

The aim of this paper is to study the roll played by arbitrators nowadays in the framework of international commercial arbitration and, more precisely, to establish whether impartiality and independence, compulsory principles in the conduct of any judge are applicable in the same way to arbitrators, especially for those appointed by the parties.
