Resumen El proceso psicológico que tiene lugar en cualquier embarazo se ve truncado cuando las posibilidades de vida del futuro hijo quedan reducidas a causa de alguna enfermedad. En este caso, se producen sentimientos contradictorios entre el miedo y la esperanza. La protagonista de este relato es Julia, una mujer de 40 años que sufrió una pérdida perinatal y nos cuenta de qué manera afronta su segundo embarazo, con el miedo a una nueva pérdida pero con la ilusión de su primera maternidad.

Abstract (A grieving process and overcoming: The biographical story of a mother) The psychological process that takes place in any pregnancy is truncated when the life chances of the new child are reduced because of illness. In this case, there are mixed feelings between fear and hope. The protagonist of this biographical narrative is Julia, a woman in her 40 years, who suffered a prenatal loss. She tells us how she confronts her second pregnancy with the fear of further loss, but with the illusion of her first maternity.
