    Las canciones, son un medio de difusión efectivo de distintos temas. En este sentido, los grupos musicales, son protagonistas y difusores de mensajes que nos pueden dar nociones de las sociedades de las cuales son parte. Inti-Illimani es uno de estos casos y en su primera etapa, fueron portavoces de la compleja realidad chilena y americana de finales de los sesentas y principios de los setentas del siglo XX. Su proyecto musical, fue más que sonido y por ello merece ser estudiado.

    Songs are an effective diffusion media of different topics. In this sense, musical groups are the main characters and massages� spreading, which may give us some ideas of the society, in which they are part of. Inti-Illimani is one of the cases in their first stage; they as spokepeople expressed the complex Chilean and American reality of the late �60s and early �70s of the XX century. Their musical project was more than just sound and for that reason it is worthy to be a subject of study.
