Un punto funcion es una unidad de medida para expresar el valor de la funcionalidad del negocio que un sistema de informacion ofrece a un usuario. El metodo IFPUG �\Functional Size Measurement Method�\ es uno de los cinco estandares actualmente reconocidos por la ISO para medir el tamano de la funcionalidad del software. En este trabajo se hace un recorrido por la definicion de puntos de funcion, su analisis y utilizacion.

A function point is a unit of measure for expressing the value of business functionality an information system offers a user. IFPUG method ¯Functional Size Measurement Method¯ is one of the five standards currently recognized by the ISO to measure the size of software functionality. In this paper it is described by the definition of function points, analysis and use.
