Nowadays, school handbooks are a reference in the overview of didactic materials.
However, they are not the only instruments of the teaching-learning process and, frequently, the teachers of all the education degrees feel that it is very important to produce original materials, related to the kind of groups where they teach, according to the pupils with they work and also connected with the table of contents and abilities that they plan to reach. We intend to detail, briefly, some aspects that could guide the teachers in the production of didactic materials for 1st and 2nd Cycles of Basic Education.
Os manuais escolares constituem hoje um lugar de referência no panorama dos materiais didácticos. Todavia, eles não são instrumentos exclusivos de ensinoaprendizagem e, como tal, os professores de todos os graus de ensino, sentem cada vez mais a necessidade de produzir materiais originais, de acordo com a especificidade das turmas em que leccionam, dos alunos a quem se dirigem e da rede de conteúdos e de competências que pretendem desenvolver.
