    Tras más de un siglo de descubrimientos y estudios, sobre los que se realiza una aproximación historiográfica destacando las aportaciones de Pilar Acosta, se ha podido fijar, a partir del registro rupestre y mueble, la cronología inicial del Arte Esquemático en la Península Ibérica. Su origen remonta al Neolítico Antiguo, en el que se identifica un Arte Esquemático Antiguo, y perdura hasta la Edad de los Metales

    «About the origin of Schematic Art». In this paper is carried out a historiographical approximation at more than a century of discoveries and studies of Rock Art, in which the contributions of Pilar Acosta are emphasized. These studies have set the initial chronology of the Schematic Rock Art in the Mediterranean Area of the Iberian Peninsula from the rock and artefactual record. The origin is placed in the Ancient Neolithic, in which an Ancient Schematic Art is identified, and lasts to the Bronze and Iron Ages
