La editorial Galaxia y la traducción de los clásicos grecolatinos en la dictadura franquista

    En este trabajo analizamos la importancia de la editorial Galaxia en la historia de la traducción de los clásicos grecolatinos durante la dictadura franquista. Comenzaremos por los antecedentes, ya que el proyecto de los hombres de Galaxia no se explica sin el galleguismo de los años anteriores al 36 y sin la Xeración Nós, de la que es heredero y continuador, para, a continuación, explicar la situación y condiciones en las que se funda y trabaja, por la importancia que tienen en la orientación de su política editorial. La segunda parte del trabajo se centra en las aportaciones concretas de Galaxia al campo que nos interesa, tanto en la edición de libros, como a través de la revista Grial, haciendo un análisis de los textos traducidos con el fin de valorar su calidad y fidelidad al original.

    This paper analyses the importance of the Galaxia publishing company in the history of the translation of Graeco-Latin classics during Franco�s dictatorship. We shall begin with the historical background, given that the project of the Galaxia people cannot be understood without reference to the pro-Galician movement of the years prior to 1936 or to the Xeración Nós, of which it is and an heir and a successor, so as to proceed with an explanation of the situation and conditions on which the project is based and operates, due to the importance that these have in the orientation of its publishing policy. The second part of this work focuses on the specific contributions of Galaxia to the field that concerns us, both regarding book publishing, and through the Grial journal, making an analysis of the translated texts with a view to assessing their quality and faithfulness to the original.
