Resumen de La dulzaina en Castilla y León: apuntes para una estandarización

Siendo la dulzaina uno de los instrumentos tradicionales más extendidos por la mitad norte de España y la parte de Levante, y debido a la gran diversidad de criterios aplicados tanto a la afinación del instrumento como a otros parámetros (digitaciones, tonalidades, modalidades, transcripciones) que llegan a definir incluso la construcción del instrumento, se hace necesario llegar a un consenso respecto a ellos. Pretendo con esta comunicación proponer y justificar el diapasón en que se afinan las dulzainas en Castilla y León, asi como la transcripción del repertorio para el instrumento en su altura real, evitando la creación de un instrumento transpositor, lo que afectará a los diferentes tonos y modos en que se realizan las transcripciones e interpretaciones, y zanjar las disensiones entre las dos escuelas de digitación que existen en Castilla y León según la situación de la nota Do (llave versus agujero), justificando todo ello desde un punto de vista teórico-práctico. Esto se hace imprescindible debido a que el aprendizaje se hace por tradición oral, faltando una base teórica que lo sustente, pese a que cada vez hay más esfuerzo por parte de maestros e intérpretes por ceñirse a la teoría y al lenguaje musical.

The dulzaina is one of most widely used traditional instruments in the northern half of Spain and Levant. However, due to the wide range of criteria applied to the tuning of the instrument, as well as other parameters (fingering, keys, modes, transcriptions) that even define the instrument's construction, a consensus between all of these elements must be reached. This paper proposes and justifies a tuning pitch for the dulzaina in Castilla y León, and the transcription of the repertoire for the instrument in its real pitch, avoiding the creation of a transposing instrument, which affects the different keys and modes used for transcriptions, and will resolve the disagreements between the two schools of thought in regard to fingering that exist in Castilla y León regarding the location of the note C (key versus hole), all of which is justified from a theoretical-practical perspective. This is essential because the dulzaina is learnt through the oral tradition, without a theoretical base to support it, although teachers and performers are increasingly interested in applying its theory and musical language.
