Propuesta para una nueva traducción al español de " Le Petit Prince" de Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: estudio crítico de las diferentes traducciones al español realizadas hasta hoy

    Este artículo presenta un estudio crítico de las diferentes traducciones al español de «Le Petit Prince» de Antoine de Saint-Exupéry La perspectiva que hemos adoptado para la mayor parte de las rectifi caciones que hemos realizado, ha sido «el uso normativo del español», o sea, el de un buen hablante del español aceptable de España Hasta ahora en España las únicas traducciones de Le Petit Prince son las realizadas en Méjico o Argentina, de modo que estas traducciones utilizan giros y usos del español de Hispanoamérica y no del español normativo de España, de ahí nuestra propuesta urgente para una nueva traducción de esta obra icono y referente de la Literatura universal.

    The current article presents a critical study of the different translations made of «Le Petit Prince», by Antoine de Saint- Exupéry. The perspective that we have adopted for most of the amendments carried out here has been that of the «normative usage of the Spanish language»; that is to say, the acceptable norm as followed by an educated speaker of the language. To date, the only existing translation in Spanish of Le Petit Prince are those carried out in Mexico or Argentina which, therefore, make use of idioms and turns of the phrase peculiar to the Spanish-speaking countries of Latin America. Such a state of affairs has prompted our proposal in this article, as an urgent response to the need for a new translation of this work, an icon and point of reference in World Literature at large.
