La búsqueda de factores competitivos de los destinos es una necesidad para la gestión sostenible del mismo. Uno de los factores a potenciar es un posicionamiento adecuado y diferenciado, restringido a los agentes que participan en las experiencias del turista, entre ellas la interacción de la comunidad residente con el turista. El �trato amable� es un intangible básico para las estrategias de comunicación, de muchos destinos, que impulsan la elección de un destino y permiten reforzar el sentimiento de aceptación mutua entre residente y turista, afectando a la satisfacción del visitante. En la actitud del residente no sólo es importante conocer la realidad de un momento, valorando el impacto de los beneficios y costes, así como la incidencia de factores intrínsecos y extrínsecos al residente, también es perentorio, para una toma de decisiones acorde con la realidad, la evaluación permanente y constante sobre ¿qué ocurre con la actitud del residente, es consistente o inestable en el tiempo?
