    Desde su comienzo en las escuelas deportivas, el niño y la niña sufren, a lo largo de su proceso de desarrollo, una serie de transformaciones fisicas, fisiológicas, psicológicas, etc. que condicionan su trayectoria en la práctica deportiva. El camino hacia el alto rendimiento desde la iniciación de una carrera deportiva se presenta arduo y no exento de obstáculos que el educadorrformador deportivo debe tener en cuenta a la hora de plantearse las programaciones y las tareas a desarrollar en cada momento.

    La capacidad de resistencia no es ajena a estos condicionantes y, por consiguiente, es preciso tenerlos en cuenta para que el proyecto deportivo cumpla los objetivos a largo plazo. Para ello se deben tener en cuenta las fases sensibles, así como las características especiales de los chicos y chicas en cada momento de su evolución.
