Resumen de Percepción de los turistas sobre el uso de los recursos socio - ambientales de la playa do Meio en Natal (RN) - Brasil

  El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo analizar el grado de interés, de sensibilidad ambiental y de satisfacción de los turistas que frecuentan la Playa do Meio, Brasil, atraídos por los recursos socio-ambientales de la localidad. Se realizó una investigación descriptiva sobre los recursos naturales y culturales, relacionándolos entre sí y se utilizó el abordaje cuantitativo a través de 52 entrevistas realizadas a los turistas cuyos resultados fueron transferidos a un programa estadístico para conocer la percepción de los turistas sobre los recursos mencionados anteriormente.

  Así, fue posible observar que los turistas tienen interés en tales recursos, sin embargo los mismos no están bien cuidados por quienes viven en la localidad, ni por los organismos públicos, ni la iniciativa privada; ya que no se han aplicado políticas de turismo sustentable en el destino. Por lo tanto, se puede concluir que la Playa do Meio necesita la intervención por parte del poder público para lograr un mayor disfrute en aquellos que viven y transitan esa área.

  Tourists Perception of the Socio-Environmental Resources of the Praia do Meio, Natal, Brazil. The aim of this paper is to analyze the degree of interest, environmental sensitivity and satisfaction of tourists repeatedly visit the beach of Praia do Meio, Brazil. The quantitative approach was used and the results of 52 questionnaires filled in by tourist were transferred to a statistic�s software to diagnose the perception of tourists about certain features of Praia do Meio. Thus, the result obtained showed that tourists have interest in social-environmental resources but observed that they are not being taken care off by the resident population and the public and private sector because there are no sustainable tourism policies related to the management of the destination. Therefore, it can conclude that the involvement of the public sector is needed in order to enhance the life quality of those living in and passing by this area.
