    Este artículo analiza la actividad de las escribanías mayores del Concejo de Tenerife a través del análisis cuantitativo de los libros de actas capitulares comprendidos entre 1558, momento en que se creó la segunda escribanía mayor del Concejo, y 1835, año en que fue suprimido definitivamente el Concejo insular. El estudio de la serie de datos, obtenido del inventario de los 72 libros de actas, permite conocer cómo funcionaban las escribanías del Concejo y detectar los cambios que se produjeron a lo largo del tiempo en sus modos de organización del trabajo, así como sus efectos en la producción y composición de la serie documental de libros de actas

    This article analyzes the activity of the major notaries of the Council of Tenerife across the quantitative analysis of the books of minutes included between 1558, moment in which there was created the second major notary of the Council and 1835 year in which the Council of island was suppressed definitively. The study of the series of information obtained about the inventory of 72 books of minutes, allows to know how the notaries of the Council were working and to detect the changes that were produced throughout the time in his manners of organization of the work, as well as the effects of such changes in the production and composition of the documentary series of books of minutes
