  • Contemporary theatrical writing is in its death throes, precisely through a surfeit of language; for the role of the theatrical performance is to resurrect the text, to get it read through three hundred eyes, to return tothe spatial and visible character of language, of the theatrical text when such is, as it is supposed to be, the point of its performance.
