    Este artículo tiene dos objetivos: primero, realizar una aproximación a lo que actualmente se entiende por derecho al desarrollo y, segundo, dilucidar si este derecho es exigible en el Estado colombiano, aun cuando la Constitución colombiana no lo consagra expresamente y tampoco está contenido en un tratado internacional ratificado por este Estado. Cuestionamiento que adquiere relevancia, si consideramos que implementar este derecho en el Estado colombiano constituiría una herramienta eficaz en la lucha contra la pobreza.

    This article has two aims: first, to realize an approximation to what nowadays we understand for right to the development and, second, to explain if this right can be demand in the Colombian State, even if the Colombian Constitution does not dedicate it expressly and neither it´s contained in an international agreement ratified by this State. Question that acquires relevancy if we think that to implement this right in the Colombian State would constitute an effective tool in the fight against the poverty.
