  • The major Spanish tradition emblem books is a speculum regis by Diego de Saavedra Fajardo; but the Prince's mirror is not absent from more ostensibly moral or religious books, such as Juan de Horozco's Emblemas Morales, through the motif of the crown as fallax bonum.
