    It has taken a long time for the reader to be taken into account as constructing the meaning of any given work at any given period - and the reader is still not really understood as a socio-political being whose nature as such is what determines his or her reading, since we speak of an "aesthetics of reception" and not of the reality the term should cover, that of a "socio-politics" of reception.

    Il a fallu longtemps pour que le lecteur soit pris en compte comme construisant le sens de n'importe quelle ouvre à n'importe quelle époque - mais ce lecteur n'est d'ailleurs pas encore vraiment compris comme un être socio-politique dont l'existence socio-politique détermine les lectures, puisque nous parlons d'une « esthétique de la réception » au lieu d'une « socio-politique de la réception ».
