    El apoyo del Tercer Reich al Alzamiento de los militares africanistas en julio de 1936 no puede reducirse tan solo a la cuestión armamentística. Desde la Organización internacional del Partido nacionalsocialista y el Ministerio de Propaganda se orquestó igualmente un plan mediático con el que dotar de cobertura propagandística al confuso intento golpista de los generales españoles. Resultado del mismo fue la acción del Comando Köhn, encargado de formar e instruir a los jóvenes e inexpertos falangistas y de dotarlos con la tecnología y los conocimientos necesarios para crear el aparato de propaganda rebelde. Tras la aparente ayuda desinteresada nazi se escondía el intento de influir en la configuración política de la nueva España.

    The Third Reich’s backing of the Spanish military uprising in July 1936 was more than a question of supplying weapons and armaments. The International branch of the National Socialist Party together with the Spanish Ministry of Propaganda orchestrated a campaign in which they planned to cover the story of the confusing coup carried out by the Spanish military generals. The Comando Köhn was put in charge of training the young, inexperienced Phalangists in the technology and know-how necessary for creating rebel propaganda. Behind what was apparently neutral help from the Nazis was a clear intention of influencing the political configuration of a Spain in transition.
