Resumen de Utilización de la variedad subestándar "el sorbo", frente a la variante estandar del término "guarapo"

  El presente artículo describe un trabajo empírico-científico realizado en la comunidad rural de la Vereda Tejar Abajo del municipio de Nuevo Colón (Boyacá), que pertenece según el Atlas Lingüístico Etnográfico de Colombia (ALEC), a la Zona Andina Oriental: Se analizará cómo se producen variaciones lingüísticas que vienen a cobrar significado propio y de convivencia social dentro de su propio repertorio lingüístico.

  Una vez analizados los datos de las entrevistas realizadas a campesinos de la región, se pudo concluir desde la ciencia de la sociolingüística que utilizan el término sorbo como variedad subestándar de la variante estándar o variedad autónoma del término guarapo y cobra no sólo un significado propio, sino también connotaciones de motivación laboral, de interacción social y de convivencia comunitaria.

  This article describes a scientific-empirical study, carried out in the rural community of the Tejar Abajo settlement, of the municipality of Nuevo Colón (Boyacá), which belongs, to the eastern zone, according to the Colombian linguistic ethnographic atlas (ALEC). It will be analyzed how linguistic variations are produced, and how they embody their own and social coexistence meaning within their own linguistic repertoire in this region.

  From the data analysis of the interviews made to peasants of the region, it was concluded, from a sociolinguistic point of view, that they use the term "sorbo" [drink or slurp] as a substandard variety of the standard variant or autonomous variety of the term "guarapo" [fermented sugar cane drink], and acquires, not only its own meaning, but also connotations of labor motivation, social interaction and community coexistence.
