La vida occidental parece requerir del conocimiento de sí misma para llegar al momento de la catarsis y desde ahí crearse un yo. La tragedia griega clásica fue una representación teatral de encuentro entre los dioses y los humanos, para crear a la tercera persona idealizada como el hombre que habrá de obrar en el mundo. Nietzsche une lo apolíneo y lo dionisíaco, re-toma ese pathos y crea una estética de la vida entre el frenesí alegre y el su-frimiento de la fatalidad humana, en la ilusión del arte. El cuerpo es el espa-cio del padecimiento de la crisis de la sociedad occidental, por ello se "desbiologiza" en la subjetividad de la distancia con el mundo. La tragedia es una postura crítica.

Occident life seems to require the knowledge of itself to reach the moment of catarsis (katharsis) and from there to build the self. The classical greek tragedy was a theatrical representation of the confrontation between hu-mans and gods, to create a third person idealized as the human entity who will rule and create the world. Nietzsche joints the apolinear and Dionysus condition, and take that pathos to create aesthetics of life between the joy-ness and the suffering of human fatality, revealed these in the illusion of arts. The body is the place where the crisis of occident society suffers, and then because of it, body "un-biologizes" within the subjectivity of the dis-tance of the world in itself. The tragedy then, is a critical position.
