    In January 2007, the government of Evo Morales has transformed the consortium Aguas del Illimani, in charge of the concession of La Paz/El Alto (Bolivia) established in 1997, into a public and social enterprisecompany, with thewhose aim ofis to reducinge inequalities affecting unequipped zonesareas. The objective of this article is to study the transition to service remunicipalisation of this service, and the changeruptures and continuityies that can be observed in the organization of the water supply network. The “urban governance” of the new entreprise company has to face, on the one hand, the a process of metropolisation that shares may lead to conflicts between municipalities, and on the other hand, the antagonistconflicting juridical legal logics between the municipal service and the surrounding rural communities, that are crossed by the network to get water down to the citydownstream urban areas.

    En janvier 2007, le gouvernement d’Evo Morales a transformé le consortium Aguas del Illimani, implanté depuis 1997, sur la concession formée par les deux municipalités voisines de La Paz et El Alto (Bolivie), en entreprise publique et sociale, avec pour objectif de réduire les inégalités affectant les zones non équipées. Cet article a pour objectif d’étudier les modalités de la transition vers la remunicipalisation du service, les ruptures et les continuités perceptibles dans l’organisation du réseau. La « gouvernance urbaine » de la nouvelle entreprise doit affronter, d’une part, un processus de métropolisation porteur de conflits potentiels entre municipalités, d’autre part, des logiques juridiques antagonistes entre les services municipaux et les communautés rurales environnantes qui sont traversées par le réseau pour approvisionner les espaces urbains en aval.
