Estimación de la heredabilidad del intervalo entre partos en ganado cebú

    Fueron analizados 327 intervalos entre partos (IEP) de ganado Cebú, en la finca Costa Rica, en el municipio de Montería, departamento de Córdoba, ocurridos entre los años 1988 y 1997. El estimativo de heredabilidad se obtuvo a través de la correlación intraclase entre medios hermanos paternos. La media y el coeficiente de variación del IEP fueron 686.64 días y 55.75% respectivamente. El efecto número de partos de la vaca fue altamente significativo (P<0.01), mientras que los efectos de año, mes y sexo no presentaron diferencia significativas. La heredabilidad estimada fue de 0.00 ± 0.06.

    327 calving intervals (CI) of cebú cattle were analyzed in the farm Costa Rica, in Montería, department of Córdoba, between the years 1998 and 1997. The estimated of heredability was obtained through the correlation interclass between half brother parent. The mean and the coefficient of variation of CI were 686.64 days and 55.75% respectively.

    The effect calving number of the cow was highly significant (p = 0.01), while the effects of the year, month and sex they didn`t present significant difference. The estimated heredability was of 0.00 ± 0.06.
