    El popular nomen Pompeius (en sus varias formas) se siguió utilizando tras la caída del Imperio Romano, como muestran tanto los documentos literarios como epigráficos. En este estudio se recogen los testimonios conocidos así como la interesante documentación toponomástica sobre este gentilicio, que dio origen a la existencia de una Terra Pompeiana.

    The well-known nomen Pompeius (in its various forms) continued to be used after the Fall of the Roman Empire, as both literary and epigraphic sources show. In this study we present a compilation of the known evidence as well as the interesting toponomastic information on this gentilic, which gave rise to the existence of a Terra Pompeiana.
