    A la luz de la documentación archivística localizada, el presente artículo revisa la historia del nacimiento de la pedanía de Galilea (Puigpunyent) y pone en cuestión los argumentos -hasta hoy válidos i aceptados mayoritáriamente- contenidos en obras del siglo XIX i principios del XX.

    In reference to the localized historical documentation this article reviews the history of the origin of the village of Galilea (Puigpunyent, island of Mallorca) and questions the arguments .until today valid and mostlyof them accepted- contended in works from the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.
