    • INTESTINAL PARASITES IN FOOD HANDLERS OF SUPERMARKETS IN THE CITY OF PORTO ALEGRE (RIO GRANDE DO SUL), BRAZIL Though the food contamination could originate, the unsuitable food handlers during his processing and distribution is one of the principal causes of the dissemination of the illnesses acquired by this road. In this work the presence was valued of intestinal parasites at 67 individuals who manipulate foods in a retail net coinposed by 09 shops in Porto AlegreIRS between January and December of 2008. The technique parasitological used was that of spontaneous sedimentation of feces. The considered result deinonstrated that 7,46% of the manipulators of foods lilte butchers, bakers and confectioners were presenting intestinal parasites. The identification of the individuals is important bearers of intestinal parasites, aiming at the reduction of infections propagated by contaminated foods, contributing, in this form, with actions of sanitary vigilante.
