Este trabajo examina los orígenes de la teoría constitucional en el pensamiento griego antiguo.
Como no todo los registros encuadran en esa escueta agenda, el trabajo reformula la cuestión considerando en primer lugar el rol de los precedentes históricos y la variedad de posiciones que cabe desagregar y conforme a la cual ha girado la controversia acerca de la cuestión constitucio- nal. Luego se examinan las opiniones que las fuentes han transmitido y a través de un análisis comparativo se establece la verosimilitud que después la tradición de Occidente ha asumido como herencia constitucional y se propone un deslinde en el que se sostiene y justifica su rol fundacional.

These papers exploring the beguine of constitutional theories in ancients Greek thought. As not all the registries are contained in that limited agenda the work reformulates the question consid- ering in the first place the role of the historical precedents and the variety of positions which might disgregate and according to which the controversy over constitutional question has arisen. Then the opinions that sources have transmitted, are examined and through confronting analysis the verisimilitude is established which Western Tradition has assumed as constitutional heritage and a definition is proposed in which it is sustained and justified his founding role.
