      Se estudia la vida y obra del dibujante e ilustrador italiano Giuseppe Eugenio Chiorino (Biella, 1871- Turín, 1941), artista muy ligado al panorama de la ilustración gráfica modernista en España por sus colaboraciones con la revista madrileña Blanco y Negro desde finales de 1896 a mediados de 1903, etapa en la que remitió desde Turín buen número de portadas y dibujos muy característicos del estilo Liberty. El artículo se centra sobre todo en su papel de introductor del gusto Art Nouveau en el dibujo y la ilustración madrileña de comienzos del siglo XX.

      This article is about Giuseppe Eugenio Chiorino (Biella, 1871- Torino, 1941), who is an important representative artist of the Modern Style illustration in Madrid. In this sense, is very interesting his collaborations with the madrilian magazine Blanco y Negro since 1896 to 1903. In this period he was living in Torino, from where he use to send an important number of covers and characteristics illustrations of the Liberty Style. The importance of Chiorino is due to the introduction of the aesthetic Art Nouveau in Madrid at the beginning of the XX Century, that in also analysed.
