El Atlas Catalán [1375] atribuido a Cresques Abraham, buixoler judío, va precedido de un largo texto geográfico, astrológico y oceanográfico, una parte del cual se refiere a las mareas y se acompaña del diagrama más antiguo que se conoce, de 14 circunferencias y 16 sectores orientados. Se han identificado los topónimos y se discuten las fuentes de las teorías del establecimiento de puertos y de los textos (Isidoro, Honorio d’Autun o de Regensburg) y las raíces clásicas de la teoría.

The Catalan Atlas [1375] attributed to Cresques Abraham, jew buixoler, is preceded of a long geographical, astrological and oceanographic text, a part of which refers to the tides and is accompanied of the most ancient graph that is known, of 14 circumferences and 16 orientated sectors. It has been identified the toponyms and we discuss the sources of the theories of the establishment of ports and of the texts (Isidorus, Honorius d¿Autun or of Regensburg) and the classic roots of the theory.
