Resumen de Verticale subjective versus verticale posturale: une note sur l'étude de la perception de la verticale
Some of the problems raised by the studies on the perception of the vertical dimension stem from the lack of definition of the kind of vertical which is concerned (postural vertical or subjective vertical). In discussing these definitions and the methods of measure used, we question the nature of the link between the postural vertical and the subjective vertical. We question also whether there is a direct perception of the gravitational vertical or whether such perception is derived from the evaluation of body-axis orientation.
