Resumen de L'utilisation des modèles dans l'analyse des structures de covariance

Françoise Bacher

  • What are some of the problems encountered during the use of models in covariance structure analysis ? Different situations are specified, according to whether a model is considered compatible with the data, whether some modifications are deemed necessary for the model to fit the data, or whether several models, providing competitive explanations, are considered.

Reference is made to some of the epistemological issues raised by Reuchlin, 1995 : need for a structural approach in psychology, hypotheses concerning functional relationships, rôle, sometimes unwarranted, attributed to economy, hypothesis of vicarious processes corresponding to different paths in the structural part of the model.
