    El libro Sistema natural de la música de Augusto Novaro se presenta como la síntesis más importante para entender las investigaciones que éste realizó en torno a la acústica y la teoría musical, los sistemas de entonación microtonal y la rectificación del sistema temperado. Sus experimentos lo llevaron a la fabricación de diversos instrumentos en los cuales aplicar sus teorías, pero también a plasmar en diversos escritos los fundamentos de sus especulaciones. Su labor teórica no tuvo una consecuencia directa en la composición musical y se manifestó más bien en conferencias y pequeños conciertos privados. Sus métodos de investigación acabaron sucumbiendo ante la llegada de instrumentos y recursos tecnológicos más modernos. Ello no nos impide situado como un verdadero precursor de la "entonación exacta" y como uno de los investigadores que ahondaron en los problemas de la afinación del sistema temperado.

    Augusto Novaro's book, Sistema natural de la música, can be considered one of the most important synthesis for understanding the research of acoustic and musical theory, of microtonal tuning systems and of the rectification of the well tempered system. Novaro's experiments led him to make diverse instruments with the purpose of applying his theories, but also to write several papers in which he sought to explain the basis of his speculations. His theoretical labor did not result in musical compositions, but was limited to conferences and private concerts. Modern new instruments and technological resources finally outmoded his research methods. Not-withstanding, we can now situate him as a true pioneer of "just intonation" and as one of the researchers that delved into the tuning problems of the well tempered system.
