Comportamiento de la fístula arteriovenosa en pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica

    Se realizó un análisis de carácter retrospectivo de todos los enfermos con insuficiencia renal crónica que se les realizó una fístula arterio venosa con carácter permanente, los cuales fueron atendidos en la consulta de nefrología del Hospital General Docente "Comandante Pinares" en San Cristóbal, en el periodo comprendido de enero del 2005 a abril del 2006. De los 24 enfermos con insuficiencia renal crónica que se les realizó un acceso vascular permanente para la hemodiálisis (fístula arteriovenosa) el 67 % es decir 16 enfermos se encuentran por encima de los 60 años de edad siendo la hipertensión arterial y la diabetes mellitus las enfermedades crónicas más frecuentes, la localización más empleada es en tercio distal del antebrazo (fístula radiocefálica). La complicación más común hallada en el periodo post-operatorio es la trombosis de la fístula y solo el 17 % de las mismas fueron fallidas con necesidad de volver a realizar otro acceso vascular de localización más proximal.

    We made an retrospective analysis of character of all the patients with chronic renal insufficiency that was made a venous fistula to them arterio with permanent character, which were taken care of in the consultation of nefrology of the General Hospital Teaching �Commander Pinares� in San Cristóbal, in the included/understood period of January of the 2005 to April of the 2006. Of the 24 patients with chronic renal insufficiency that was made a permanent vascular access to them for the hemodiálysis (arterio-venous fistula) 67% that is to say, 16 patients they find over the 60 years of age being the arterial hypertension and the diabetes mellitus the more frequent chronic diseases, the location more using is in distal third of the forearm (radiocefalic fistula). The commonest found complication in the postoperative period is the thrombosis of the fistula and single the 17% of the same ones they were insolvent with necessity to return to make another vascular access of proximal location.
