Los estudios sobre la alta montaña ecuatorial en Colombia

    En los últimos años, en Colombia se han incrementado considerablemente los discursos y análisis sobre la alta montaña. La mayor atención ha provenido de las ciencias exactas mientras las disciplinas sociales han empezado a interesarse por el tema en las últimas décadas. El artículo presenta un contraste entre los distintos discursos que se han venido elaborando sobre el paisaje paramuno o de alta montaña en el país, particularmente sobre la presencia humana en este tipo de ambientes inhóspitos. Es necesario entonces, se concluye, un diálogo de saberes que incorpore no sólo a la academia sino también a instituciones y a las mismas poblaciones que habitan la alta montaña, para una mejor comprensión sobre la relación humanidad-naturaleza.

    In the last years in Colombia there has been a considerable increase in the discourse and analysis of the high mountain. Most attention has come from the exact sciences while social science disciplines began an interest on the subject in the last decades. The article contrasts the different discourses that have been elaborated about the high mountain landscape, in particular over the human presence in this type of bleak habitats. Then, it is necessary a dialogue of academic and institutional knowledge and the local lore of the people who live in the high mountain, for a better understanding of the human-nature relationship
