La violencia es un fenómeno que ha existido en los diferentes momentos por los que ha transitado la humanidad, se ha manifestado en las diferentes formas de organización social y en los diferentes ámbitos en los que interactúan los individuos. Existen diferentes enfoques desde los que se ha abordado su estudio, y desde los cuales se desprenden una serie de ideas, recomendaciones y hasta recetas para evitar este fenómeno que en la época actual se ha acrecentado y, por tanto, cada día, cobra más víctimas, siendo las principales aquellas que integran los grupos vulnerables (mujeres, ancianos y niños, principalmente).

Violence is a phenomenon that has existed during the different stages through which humanity has gone through, with expressions in different forms of social organization and in the different spheres in which individuals interact. There are different approaches for the study of violence, and from each of this we can take a series of ideas, recommendations and even prescriptions to avoid this phenomenon that in current times has increased, and thus claiming more victims daily, mainly people from the most vulnerable groups (women, children and the elderly, mainly).
