  • In November 2006, the retaining walls around Cristo Church were inspected and one of the buttresses was found to be in an alarming condition, having shifted position. The stretch of inner wall next to the outer wall was also found to have moved. In light of this situation, access to the area was closed and the buttress in question was shored up. A sondage was carried out before the stretch of damaged wall was removed.
