Comprehensive archaeological study of the Agiñiga Parish Church (stratigraphic analysis of the walls and archaeological excavation). As a result, we were able to ascertain that the building is medieval in origin, with Santiago Chapel being added during the 16th century, and was used as a cemetery over the following centuries. One of the most interesting elements recovered is a medieval statue of the Virgin Mary which was buried during the 18th century.
