    El estudio de un dibujo de Adan y Eva, firmado y fechado por Luis Fernández en 1626, y la necesidad de encuadrarlo en el contexto de la pintura madrileña de la primera mitad del siglo XVII ha obligado a revisar los documentos y las obras de varios pintores homónimos que trabajaron en Madrid durante ese periodo. La definición de sus personalidades a través de las pinturas y documentos ha permitido individualizar hasta cuatro pintores de igual nombre, pero la atribución del dibujo a alguno de ellos sigue planteando por el momento dificultades insalvables

    The Adam and Eve drawing study, signed and dated by "Luis Fernandez" on 1626, and the need to place it in the Madrid painting context of the mid XVII century, had forced to review the documents and works of various namesake painters that worked in Madrid during that period. The definition of their personalities done throughout the paintings and documentation has leaded to identify up to four painters with the same name, so that the assignment of the drawing to one of them is still presenting insurmountable difficulties.
