    Con este ensayo pretendemos acercarnos a la que fue una relación muy provechosa a lo largo de la Alta Edad Moderna, la que sostuvieron el poder, en sus distintas manifestaciones, y la fiesta, en su variada y efímera tipología. El ámbito de análisis es la Monarquía Hispánica y su ámbito de influencia y el propósito del presente texto es ofrecer una perspectiva lo más amplia posible que nos acerque las principales aportaciones historiográficas que se han ocupado del uso político de la fiesta a lo largo de aquellos siglos, especialmente durante la etapa barroca, cuando el fasto alcanzó su perfección al tiempo que surgían las primeras monarquías absolutas.

    With this essay we would like to offer a revision of the main historiography lines about the Spanish Monarchy and his World festivities in the XVI and XVIIth centuries. The bibliography about the festivities and the celebrations and their relationship with the different powers in the Spanish Early Modern Age has incessantly grown during the last years.

    These points of views explain the utility of the party for the political power along those centuries, especially during the baroque period, when the fête catch up its perfection at the time the first authority monarchies appeared.
