    El propósito de esta comunicación es presentar los primeros resultados de un estudio llevado a cabo por medio de una encuesta a una muestra de inmigrantes hispanohablantes, sobre la actitud conservadora, y al mismo tiempo innovadora, que caracteriza este grupo lingüístico: a un alto nivel de mantenimiento de la lengua de origen se une un extendido uso de L1 y L2 en modalidad mixta por la cercanía tipológica entre español e italiano; uso, que puede llevar a considerar la interlengua como una variedad étnica con rasgos típicos.

    The aim of this paper is to show the first results of a study realized through an inquiry to some hispanic immigrant speakers, concerning the conservative and, at the same time, the innovative linguistic tendency of the group: an high level of L2 maintenance combines with a huge mixed use of L1 y L2, because of the tipological nearness between Spanish and Italian; this type of use may let consider the interlanguage as an ethnic variety, caracterized by tipical features.
