    En este trabajo, a partir de los datos de la Encuesta sobre innovacion tecnologica 1998�]2000, se comparan los comportamientos innovadores a nivel de producto y/o proceso del sector grafico espanol y del resto del sector manufacturero. Ademas, analizamos la relacion existente entre la financiacion publica de los proyectos innovadores y el correspondiente tamano de las empresas, asi como la incidencia de la proximidad institucional sobre la concesion de esta clase de ayudas al universo de las pymes.

    In this work, data from the Survey on Technological Innovation 1998�]2000, comparing innovative behavior of product and/or process of the printing industry and the rest of the Spanish manufacturing sector. In addition, we analyzed the relationship between public financing of innovative projects and the corresponding size of firms, as well as the relationship between the geographical proximity of the government and the granting of public financing to innovative projects of SMEs.
