La rentabilidad de la inversión en capital humano en México.

    El final del siglo pasado y el principio del presente ha quedado en la historia como el período en el que la matricula de la educación superior, en todo el mundo, ha mostrado su mayor crecimiento. México no ha sido la excepción y su demanda de la matrícula de educación superior ha mostrado un crecimiento notable. Este crecimiento ha llevado consigo una serie de fenómenos socio-económicos que más allá de impulsar el mayor financiamiento de este nivel educativo en el país, ha puesto en duda el beneficio que de ésta inversión se pueda derivar y, sobre todo, como ha influido en las personas responsables de la asignar el financiamiento a la educación superior y en aquellos individuos que egresan del nivel bachillerato y que tienen la opción de insertarse en el mercado laboral o bien continuar sus estudios en una institución de educación superior. En este trabajo se realiza un análisis del índice de rentabilidad que se deriva de la inversión en educación superior en México para el período 2000-2006, así como los valores de este indicador con el propósito de que los responsables de asignar el financiamiento a los diferentes niveles educativos encuentren un elemento de decisión en la aplicación de los recursos económicos en el nivel de educación que represente, en términos de eficiencia, el más rentable, y en efecto esto corresponde al nivel de educación superior. Por otro lado, también se ofrece el índice de rentabilidad de la inversión en educación para el individuo que egresa del bachillerato, y así pueda tomar su mejor decisión.

    The end of last century and the beginning of the present has stayed in the history as the period in which the matriculation of the higher education, in the whole world, has showed his major growth. Mexico has not been the exception and the matriculation of the higher education in Mexico has showed a notable growth. This growth has gone I obtain a series of socio-economic phenomena that beyond stimulating the major financing of this educational level in the country, the benefit has questioned that from this one investment could stem, and especially it has influenced the policymakers responsible of the financing assigning it to the higher education. As well as also in those individuals who go away from the level baccalaureate and who have the option to be inserted on the labour market or continue his studies in an institution of higher education. In this work there is realized an analysis of the index of profitability that stems from the investment in higher education in Mexico for the period 2000-2006. In this work we provide the values of this indicator with the intention that the persons in charge of assigning the financing to the different educational levels find an element of decision in the application of the economic resources in the level of education that it represents, in terms of efficiency, the most profitable, and in effect this it corresponds at the level of higher education. On the other hand also there offers the index of profitability of the investment in education for the individual who graduates of the baccalaureate, which indicates him that major profitability of the investment is obtained in higher education by respect of any another level of low, and like that education could take his better decision.
